Selection translation

Translate any text on any web page

Select a sentence, an email or a product description on any website and Liaovo translates it in a small pop-up, without leaving the page.

100 free credits when you sign up (about 70 translations). No credit card required.

How do I translate selected text in Chrome?

With Liaovo installed, select text on any page and click the small Liaovo button that appears. The translation opens in a pop-up next to your selection, in your chosen language.

  1. Add Liaovo to Chrome and sign in.
  2. Make sure “Translate selected text on any web page” is on in the settings.
  3. Select text on any website.
  4. Click the Liaovo button to see the translation.

Works everywhere

Online shops, email in the browser, supplier websites, news and forums.

AI that understands context

Whole sentences are translated naturally, not word by word.

Only what you select

Nothing on the page is sent anywhere until you click the translate button.

Handy for research and email

Check a customer’s website, read a supplier’s product sheet or understand an email written in another language. Selection translation uses the same credits as chat translation, and short selections usually use a single credit.

Frequently asked questions

Can I turn selection translation off?
Yes. Uncheck “Translate selected text on any web page” in the extension settings.
Does it translate the whole page?
No. It translates the text you select. For whole pages, Chrome’s built-in page translation works well; Liaovo is for the parts you want translated carefully.
